Therapeutic techniques utilized for individuals, couples, and adolescents are solution focused, client-centered, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT.
When counseling adolescents the therapeutic tools taught includes calming techniques, empathy, and practicing active listening. Throughout my practice, I employ creative tools to address relationships, anxiety, and depression by using art, music, and Narrative Therapy.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I worked for the non-profit organization, Lena Pope. I worked with adolescents, families, & couples. Also, I worked in the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center where I facilitated groups on behavior management, communication, and coping skills.
