My name is Lindsay Waite, LCSW. My area of focus is treating trauma and I take a client-centered, Positive Psychology, humanistic approach. I treat a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal conflict, and addiction in both adults and teens. I provide a holistic or integrative approach to therapy meaning I may use psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, or humanistic depending on the background and needs of the client.
I have a background in fine art and I enjoy integrating creativity and homework assignments into my therapy sessions. Ten years ago, I decided I wanted a career that provided more human connection and decided to pursue my LCSW. Like anyone, I have had my own struggles with depression, anxiety, addiction and psychosomatic illness.
Goal setting is completely at the discretion of my clients. The first session will be an introduction to my approach and I will gather background information about my client starting with childhood through the present.
