I am an experienced, warm and insightful therapist. I work with adults across the life span. I am an active therapist, and I listen carefully. I am interested in supporting patients to understand themselves, their feelings, relationships, behaviors. I find that this understanding, along with the space to experience feelings, leads to the possibility of growth and change. I work with men and women, facing a broad range of personal, work, and family issues. I have often worked with people in their 20's and 30's who want to establish a successful intimate relationship.
I do short term problem solving therapy, and also longer term individual therapy with a psychodynamic orientation. I have had a Buddhist meditation practice for many years, and often work with patients who practice or are interested in meditation practice. I find that the two modalities can support each other well.
I welcome potential patients to reach out for an initial phone conversation. Sometimes it takes one or two sessions to figure out if this is a good match for you. I am very flexible and invite you to explore your options.
