Your struggles are valid. Do you feel like you don't want to be a "burden" to others by sharing your feelings or talking about things that happened so long ago? Are you someone who lays up at night replaying events from that day because you think you offended somebody, or feel the need to review things many times to avoid making a mistake? If you are exhausted from people-pleasing, find yourself triggered into emotional outbursts or shame, anxiety, panic attacks or self-doubt in your abilities, I want to walk with you through the weird, embarrassing, and painful parts of your life so that you can find comfort, acceptance, and hope.
I treat young adults with a history of trauma, anxiety, or navigating transitions (pregnancy, move, college). I love encouraging clients to challenge thoughts, practice acceptance, and face the feelings that we want to avoid. I use a trauma-informed, integrative approach of several modalities. I can also offer a Christian faith-based perspective, if desired.
I am a warm, light-hearted, and goal-oriented person. My goal in working with you is to support you in moving towards the changes you want while feeling those pains along side of you.
