I am a fully licensed clinical social worker with over 40 years of experience. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma and are experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues and grief and loss. I have trained Detroit Police Domestic Violence Unit social workers to better handle and trauma. I have offered various trainings to the community that includes Crisis Line and Hospice volunteers.
I use an eclectic approach as each client is unique. Modalities that I work with include: Internal Family Systems, Brain Spotting, Mindfulness, CBT and Emotional Freedom Therapy.
Sometimes we can get stuck in unhealthy ways of coping which might have served us well at one time in our lives but now keep us from living as fully as we would like. I create a safe place for us to work together to replace these unhealthy ways of coping and replace them with healthy ones so you can be more fully who you who you really are.
