Hello there! My name is Lillian Ubezonu. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), based in Texas and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and young adults. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My communication style is relaxed, calm, accommodating, and personable with some humor. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, However, I will engage with my clients honestly on things that they need to hear.
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. We will start by building trust between us and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Over time, we will work together to set goals and track your progress.
What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend most of our time talking about how you’ve been feeling recently, and I will be asking questions to get a better understanding of why you may be feeling that way, or factors contributing to those feelings.
