My therapeutic training is a combination of Gottman, DBT, CBT & EMDR that compliment my therapeutic philosophy: each client possess invaluable personal strengths that serve in healing, personal growth, and relational satisfaction. Counseling allows for safely discovering of "what happened to me" to integration "what do I want do now" to dissemination "how can I govern my future."
In sessions, my clients (couples and individuals alike) will learn and practice addressing and repairing unattended emotional injuries, strengthening distress tolerance skills to reinforce internal locus of control, effectively managing conflict to strengthen intimacy and interpersonal relationships, and building mental fitness.
We have all experienced varying degrees of adversity. And with it comes the potential for change. I believe that change presents us the opportunity to: challenge, create, and connect. As your counselor, I will be with you as a guide and a non-judgemental resource as you discover your full range of choices and how you want to exercise your personal freedom.
