I specialize in helping individuals and couples with relationship difficulties. With respect and warmth, I challenge clients to grow. My hope is to help people bring to awareness the issues with which they are struggling, help them discern their own path of meaning, and provide tools and support in achieving those goals. I combine the use of hands-on scientific methods with an intuitive client-centered approach. My goal is to help people achieve change and maintain it over time.
After over 40 years, I've found that a combination of emotionally focused work and an understanding of attachment theory & scientific techniques (Gottman Method) is the best way to create significant, lasting change in relationships. With my training, both in science & art, I can help you succeed at love. With Individuals, I utilize AEDP and EMDR.
I am one of the few psychotherapists certified in EFT and Gottman. With my training and experience, I can choose the therapeutic strategy to help your relationship. I am also the Founder of the Houston Community for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (HCEFT). I am Certified in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Discernment counseling.
