Are you the eldest child? Is it difficult to be vulnerable and trust that others can take care of you? Being the eldest child myself, I can relate to the complexities of navigating your internal world with the external one. I bring a sense of curiosity, empathy, and authenticity into my sessions in effort to let clients know that I am invested in what they have to say. Taking a client's culture, family background, and inter-generational patterns and trauma into account is a vital part of my approach. The act of opening yourself up to the therapeutic process can be scary and vulnerable but there is life beyond that fear.
Therapy needs to be an example of safety in a world where safety is not guaranteed. I'm a firm believer that reclaiming our story can create growth and change to achieve our desired personal potential. I borrow from the Narrative and Adlerian approaches and these approaches help provide an in-depth process to better understanding a client's internal world.
