I have experience with severe mental health issues in residential and private practice with individuals, couples, and groups. I focus on concerns relative to grief, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, stress tolerance, chronic pain management, difficult relationships, self-esteem, parenting challenges, concerns of the aging, military issues, and trauma for which desensitization techniques are applied.
I use a variety of techniques from various evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Behavior (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior (REBT), Narrative, Solution-focused (SFBT), Person-centered (CPT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), and relaxation techniques.
