In the same spirit I believe the therapeutic process is driven by the relationship formed between the client and the therapist. This is why my approach in therapy is guided by the question - "How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for their personal growth?" I strive to create an empathic, nonjudgmental atmosphere where you feel safe and empowered to work toward personal growth and creating lasting change; forming trust and leaning toward vulnerability.
I have experience across a diverse range of mental health settings with children, teens, families, and couples. This includes community mental health, residential facilities, foster care, county mental health, juvenile hall, schools, substance abuse and chemical dependency, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and crisis intervention.
I take an integrative and depth-oriented approach, combining insight driven processes with skill based and practical approaches. I am collaborative and strength-based, developing methods to identify root causes of issues rather than targeting just symptoms. I am experienced in various mind-body therapies that include EMDR, hypnosis, and biofeedback.
