Miguel has had diverse and well-rounded experiences throughout his career including an working with at risk youth through a juvenile court setting, work within a juvenile detention center that housed adolescents struggling with mental illness. Miguel has been in the therapeutic field since 2004, having 15 years of experience in group and individual therapy assisting those in need of developing coping skills for various life stressors (depression, anger, relationship issues, etc.). Miguel is also experienced in working with relationship difficulties including issues around pornogorphy.
Miguel has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. He also has assisted those with life planning, identifying future goals and developing problem solving techniques of how to approach these goals.
Miguel approaches his work with an open mind and non-judgmental attitude. He believes that every individual can succeed in achieving their goals with the proper supports in place.
