My personal experience migrating to the U.S. from East Africa has allowed me to learn the nuances of navigating two cultures while trying to explore my own identity. My goal is to encourage self-compassion and help resolve the inner conflicts you may have about yourself and the world. I provide therapy to adults of all backgrounds who are experiencing: anxiety, depression, life transitions, bicultural/multicultural identity, codependency, and mood disorders. I often work with clients on assertive communication, boundary setting in relationships, as well as addressing people-pleasing tendencies.
Together, we can identify the unhelpful patterns that have become barriers in your life and develop a healthier, kinder perspective of yourself. My hope is to normalize mental health conversations and to assist in developing a safe space for individuals to explore their identity, without judgement and full of empathy.
