My approach to therapy is collaborative and relational. I'm truly interested in you as a person. My work is based on the assumption that all people have strengths and inner resources that can be accessed by asking creative questions that generate new possibilities. This enhances life choices, and develops stories that allow for new ways of being in the world. I draw on cognitive behavior therapy, social construction, narrative therapy, systems therapy, and mindfulness in counseling to support clients in meeting their goals. Somatic experiencing is another specialty area for me, working with the nervous system for healing.
As a a licensed psychologist and marriage and family therapist with over 35 years of experience, I am here to help with a wide array of issues. Whether you wish to address mood problems, trauma, or challenges with relationships, or you are seeking to enhance your career choices, stress management, or sports performance, I look forward to meeting.
I provide a caring, safe environment for working with life challenges. Feel free to call if you would like to determine if your specific concerns are something I feel competent to address, as it is essential to find an experienced, qualified therapist whom you are comfortable with. I wish you all the best in seeking out a therapist who is a good fit for you.
