As human beings, our lived experiences are often stressful, anxiety producing, and at times traumatic. As a psychotherapist who has been practicing for 20 years, my goal is to create nurturing environments where individuals can process thoughts and feelings, gain new insights, and work to develop more productive ways of coping with their lives and relationships. I aim to develop a secure therapeutic alliance with my clients, based on trust, a sense of safety, and respect.
I have extensive experience working with adults and older adults who are working through depression and anxiety, often related to life transitions, as well as clients who are struggling with anger management, relational issues, mood disorders, PTSD, loss, and grief.
My therapeutic approach is responsive to clients’ needs. I utilize a variety of approaches, including cognitive behavior therapy, solution focused brief therapy, family systems, and integrative therapy. I am guided by my desire to validate my clients, empower them to overcome life’s obstacles, and to improve their personal and professional lives.
