I have experience helping people process various traumatic events, adjust to changes in life circumstances, and improve the understanding and expression of who they are at their core. I have found one of the greatest needs in our community is the need to exist in our lives as who we really are, not who we have been taught to be.
My primary tool in treatment is the therapeutic relationship- I firmly believe that a part of healing happens when we access who we are and share it with someone else. I incorporate other tools from treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and internal family systems.
One of my favorite songs by Noah Kahan says "Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are." I encourage you to reach out from wherever you are in your life so you can start saying how you feel and take hold of who you are.
