Under the pressures of today’s world, achieving life satisfaction and a sense of wellbeing can feel more difficult than ever. My goal is to help clients flourish in the face of life’s challenges. I am skilled in helping clients work through stress, anxiety, life adjustment issues, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. I am especially interested in helping with issues related to sexual orientation, identity exploration, sex and sexual functioning, and coping with stigma (e.g., racism, heterosexism, sexism, classism). Working with LGBTQ+ clients, college students, and young professionals is especially rewarding to me.
My approach draws upon emotion-focused, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and multicultural therapies. I help clients gain insight into how their emotions may relate to their thought patterns, attachment needs, past experiences, coping strategies, and mental health. I foster a strong therapeutic relationship in a warm, supportive, non-judgmental space.
