My therapist encouraged me to become a therapist. I have my Master's Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy (a/k/a Marriage Couples and Family Counseling) from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. My specialties are varied and include adjustment to new circumstances (divorce, moved, newly single) and grief. I enjoy counseling couples and individuals to address underlying reasons for conflict or depression. Assisting clients with developing coping skills to manage situations and emotions is important as well.
I love working with clients to provide support and encouragement in making changes. An unbiased professional can often show a client a different way of looking at a situation, which can be very helpful. Also, examining habits and making adjustments is a practical treatment in addition to addressing possible underlying issues.
