I work with people who are doing the best they can, want to do better, and are motivated towards positive change. Often clients come into treatment because their "best" just isn't effective anymore and they don't know what else to do or try. This is where my education, experience, and expertise can help. I believe that the client is the expert about their lives, their goals, and what works for them. I also believe that DBT and mindfulness can help us make positive change to create a life worth living. I strive to create safe and accepting space for clients so that they can achieve their goals and live their best life.
I believe that each of us is connected to and influenced by our environment, culture, body, mind and spirit. I aim to respect and include these aspects within the treatment process to better understand my clients and their needs. I draw from Trauma Focused CBT, CBT, DBT, and Attachment modalities to help clients meet their goals.
