Most people looking for a therapist do so because they are in some level of pain or distress. An effective therapy process provides the space for transforming such difficulties into the capacity for better coping, more satisfying relationships, and a stronger sense of self. I have dedicated years of training and experience to help with issues of individual suffering and relationship conflicts. I focus on a clear understanding of problems presented, and offer a process of resolution. I believe a supportive therapeutic process is most effective, and I provide an empathic connection.
I have extensive training as a licensed clinical social worker and as a doctor of psychology in psychoanalysis. I approach therapy from an eclectic perspective, addressing issues from psychodynamic, cognitive, and supportive positions. I believe we are complex beings with multiple facets requiring various ways of looking at internal conflicts, fears, and external challenges.
I experience success working with relationship and marital conflicts, and with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, addictions, and excessive stress. I have a passionate belief in the value of the therapeutic process.
