I believe therapy is a caring, supportive, challenging, and collaborative process of exploring areas of your life that are concerning to you and you'd like to learn how to manage better. I follow a strengths-based, person-centered approach where we discuss and explore areas of your life you are concerned about and I assist you in making the real changes you seek. I'm easy going guy who uses humor, homework, insight readings, and other resources to support and challenge you to create change in your life.
I have over 15 years of experience as a therapist and have worked with individuals, couples and families. I mostly work with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, and life transitions. I have successfully worked with LGBTQ individuals and individuals struggling with loss (grief counseling) and relationship issues (couples counseling) for many years.
I follow a multicultural approach in understanding the dynamics of power, privilege and oppression with regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sex, gender, ability/disability and spirituality. Most of my work has revolved around these issues.
