I help teens, individuals, and families in the areas of depression, grief, anxiety, guilt and family systems. I primarily focus my work with minority populations including the LGBTQ+ community as well as cultural and ethnic minorities; however, I do not work exclusively with minorities, and any prospective client is welcome to inquire. In our work, I like going beyond being an informed and accepting therapist; it's important to me to embrace your uniqueness, respect your journey, and celebrate your success. My clients report that I challenge them and introduce new perspectives resulting in a greater sense of healing.
My practice is unique. In therapy, our aim is to work of the leading edge of a client's awareness. I work hard to understand your past and your current circumstances in order to help "connect the dots." Making use of integrative techniques and EMDR, we work through and reframe your self-talk, form healthier boundaries, and move toward peace and belonging.
