Life can be difficult to navigate. Whether it's transitions in family dynamics, unresolved trauma, relationship issues or the stressors of life events, you should not feel you are an island in your own life. Challenges are to be expected, getting help for these challenges is a choice. I have been both a middle and elementary school counselor for 32 years combined. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Custody Evaluator. I believe my passion and experience in working with children, teens and families along with individuals facing life transitions give me the skill set to help clients navigate toward positive, healthy change.
I work both with individuals and families. My specialties are with children struggling with anxiety, depression and executive functioning issues. I offer ADHD/Behavioral/Emotional screenings. I work with teens and adults having anxiety and depression, as well as, adults facing life transitions. I do family trauma work to improve healthy relationships.
I create a safe space in which to allow effective communication between the therapist and client. I make it a priority to foster a no judgement zone in my sessions. My approaches center on (CBT)Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and REBT(Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy).
