Lea Kinzer is a provisionally licensed professional counselor with experience working with children and adults in community mental health, private practice, and intensive in-home settings. After six years of teaching, her main passions involve working with young children (3+) and their parents. She also enjoys walking alongside young adults/college students, especially individuals with trauma, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. She provides a warm and open environment and often uses an attachment, somatic, IFS or parts work, and body-based lens in therapy. With young children, she integrates therapy through play and art in her sessions.
Lea is trained in TF-CBT, Nurturing Parenting, and is working on an ADHD-CCSP certificate. She holds two master's degrees. Her first is an MS in Applied Child Psychology which informs her work with children with a variety of emotional and behavioral struggles. The second is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling which informs her counseling with all clients.
It is an incredibly brave thing to reach out for help.
