My clinical training is in the area of Cognitive-Behaviorism & Task-Centered Therapy; I practice short-term Dimensional Solution-Based Therapy (DSBT). I am of the belief that DSBT psychotherapy is one of the most effective tools for change - as long as you are willing to make a change. The idea & responsibility for change can be overpowering. I see my role, as a Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist, as a way to help you identify patterns in your life that you want to modify - act on...and act on them now. (Now working with a extended network of: Life Coaches, Energy Healers, Reiki & Yoga Masters & Recovery Coaches).
My area of specialty is in: stress related concerns, addictive behaviors and what I call "Developmental - Barricades", i.e., age-related life events that are creating conflict and internal stress. Examples of "Developmental - Barricades" include: anxiety, depression, panic attacks, trauma, addictions, interpersonal conflict, health concerns and stress related to caregiving.
My form of therapeutic treatment, Dimensional Solution-Based Therapy (DSBT), focuses on the importance of: cognition, nutrition and movement. With the combined use of traditional therapeutic intervention, guided imagery, relaxation techniques and Clinical Hypnotherapy - I have seen great results with the use of short-term based work.
