Do you feel like you or your child will never be the same again? Do you wonder if the trauma you have experienced is impacting your parenting? Many of my clients feel this way and are relieved to learn that there is hope for healing. My name is Lauren and I can help. Although I have advanced training in play therapy with children, I also work with teens and adults. I can help your child or teen with trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I have a passion for working with parents to build parenting skills and increase healthy communication with their child/teen. I also assist adults with trauma and life transitions.
I use EMDR with children, teens and adults. I am also a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and I blend play therapy with EMDR with children. In addition I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which is another path to healing for trauma. I treat anxiety with a combination of play therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques.
I have worked with children and their families who had experienced sexual and/or physical abuse and have advanced training and expertise in sexual abuse. If you or your child has experienced sexual abuse or any severe trauma, I would be honored to work with you towards healing. I would love to help you find hope as you navigate this difficult path.
