Starting your personal counseling journey is never a decision of weakness, but instead it's one of great strength and bravery. You are deciding to face the issues, change the patterns, and break the unhealthy cycles in your life and in your family. That is an incredibly brave thing to do, but I do understand that it's scary to get started. My hope and desire is that you feel supported and empowered throughout this process. I hope to be able to provide tools, guidance, and support as you walk out your journey of healing. I am a Christian and will incorporate faith-based elements when it's welcomed, but that is completely up to you.
I have a wide variety of experience with adults, teens, and children. I am trained in EMDR and specialize in trauma, but I still see and have a lot of experience with many other issues, disorders, and specialties. I've been a counselor for over 11 years and been working in the mental health field for almost 15 years so I have a well rounded background.
My encouragement to you is to just take the first step. I am currently on a waitlist for new clients, BUT I have an intern!
