While I generally work with those who are struggling with substance use disorders, I also offer guidance on more general mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, parenting skills, behavior modification, and impulse control. I invite clients to share their stories, highlighting their main focus and concerns in therapy and then work collaboratively on developing a personalized and goal-oriented treatment plan. Together we will work through past traumas and current life stressors. I hope to be a driving force in providing my clients with holistic care that is able to bridge the gap between mental and physical health.
Therapy can be scary. It's hard to be vulnerable, and especially hard when it's with a stranger. I make it a point as a therapist to make my client feel as comfortable as possible. I'm very laid back in counseling; I try to make jokes and aim for my client to smile or laugh at least once per session. Lightening the emotional load is important to me!
Successful counseling is a two-man job. I will work with you to develop interventions that are best suited for you, and together we will work toward being the person you want to be today, so you can make the life you deserve tomorrow.
