As your therapist, it’s my job to meet you where you’re at. What are you hoping to get out of therapy? Together, we can create a treatment plan and goals. Whether you’ve been in therapy for years or this is your first session, we will work together to figure out what will be most beneficial. Therapy sessions can look a variety of ways. Maybe it’s processing a recent trauma, identifying and breaking unhealthy patterns, or building skills. Our sessions will be a safe space where we can learn coping skills, build a better relationship with yourself and your body, figure out effective tactics for managing stress/anxiety, and more.
I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in my work with clients. I work with many clients are coping with histories of complex trauma, Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Starting (or returning) to therapy can be scary, exciting, and so many more emotions. Some people turn to therapy when they're struggling, some like to have therapy on a more consistent basis to help get through ongoing stressors, and some people may not know exactly why they're seeking therapy. Everyone is welcome regardless!
