I am a licensed psychologist primarily serving adults and adolescents who struggle with depression and anxiety; borderline personality disorder; substance and alcohol use; relationship distress; emptiness; intolerable emotions; impulsive behaviors including suicidal and self-injurious behavior; eating concerns; and histories of trauma. My therapeutic approach centers on utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT was initially developed to treat borderline personality disorder but is now used to effectively treat a broad spectrum of psychological problems by focusing on enhancing the skills necessary to not only cope but thrive in a world full of obstacles.
The guiding principle of my practice is to help clients develop and learn practical, real-world strategies and skills that allow them to change ineffective behaviors and thus build the kind of life they want to live. I also work closely with adolescents and their families to address a host of behavioral and social issues.
I offer individual, family, and couples psychotherapy, group skills training as well as phone coaching. Only DBT services are covered at the in-network rate when deemed medically necessary and through a single case agreement or in-network gap. All other services are out-of-network.

Adult DBT Skills Group
The DBT skills group is designed for people who struggle with managing life's challenges and want to take control of the emotions, thoughts and behaviors that make their lives or relationships more difficult or intolerable. This group offers individuals tools to decrease the reactivity or intensity of their emotions. By learning new skills to use in the moment, clients learn how to get through a bad situation without making it worse, improve problem solving, ask for what they want and say "No" effectively, in order to reduce their suffering and increase their happiness.

Adolescent DBT Skills Group
The group meets for 90 minutes each week. It takes approximately 6 months to complete the program. New members join when new modules are introduced. Skill modules taught include: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Middle Path and Behavior Analysis.
