I began a career as a therapist after working with children and their families in education, seeing first hand how the effects of mental health can negatively affect a family unit. I specialize in trauma informed care to both adolescents and adults to lower the symptoms and behaviors that cause a negative impact.
Typically, those who have been through trauma carry guilt or blame themselves for what occurred. Others try to take back their power by engaging in behavior that they typically wouldn’t agree with. In therapy, we will use cognitive behavioral therapy—the process of challenging negative thoughts that lead to the negative behaviors—to choose differently.
We will begin our work together to get to know each other, and ensure you feel that you are entering a trustworthy, judgment free zone and discuss your goals and what healing looks like to you.
