It's difficult to take the step to ask for help. Life can be challenging for everyone at times. I am currently taking virtual clients for therapy as well as providing clinical supervision to therapists who are working towards their licensure.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working in this field for the last 15 years. I have worked my entire career in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) programs including residential and outpatient. I have been intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech. This treatment had been adapted to decrease any problem behavior and increase skills.
We cannot always do hard things alone. With the help of a therapist, who is non-judgmental and removed from your everyday life, you can learn new, effective skills to balance accepting the things you cannot change with the ability to recognize what you can change by living in the present moment.
