I have a clinical focus on diverse populations (e.g., LGBTQAI+, People of Color, etc.) and the ways that they process and can excel while living within systems of oppression and majority culture spaces. My goal is to help you develop skills to be autonomous while also cultivating a space where you don't have to make yourself smaller to fit into what someone else thinks of you. I recognize it can be difficult to find clinicians in our community, who look like us, who I don't have to explain my culture to. We are here. I am here.
My clinical experience primarily lies in working with diverse populations (BIPOC and SOGI). I have worked with individuals and in sexual health. I have training in the treatment of mood disorders (depressions, anxiety) and my practice focuses upon validation, sex positivity, and processing our identities in today's climate.
Finding the right fit for a therapist can be difficult. Sometimes people have needs that I do not specialize in; they may desire EMDR therapy, for example. I typically schedule a quick (10 minute) consultation for new clients to see if I would be a good fit. Please feel free to reach out for a consultation to help me understand your specific needs.
