I specialize in young adult issues, especially, life transitions, ADHD, LGBT concerns, ENM/CNM/polyamorous and kinky relationships. I believe in treating underlying causes and improving symptoms rather than labeling them. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help clients achieve their personal goals. I tailor my approach to suit each client's needs and involve clients in each step of the process. I am confident that I can help you navigate any difficult life transition, interpersonal conflict, personal challenge, and/or mental health-related situation that you are facing and encourage you to reach out.
I emphasize genuineness and enjoy helping clients discover their true selves and learn to live authentically. While ensuring that I provide clients a safe and trusting place to work through serious difficulties, I also try to bring a lot of humor and sarcasm into session as a means of making therapy less intense and more interactive.
I have received extensive training in the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I also received training in addictions treatment, trauma, neurocognitive, impediments, LGBT issues, human sexuality/kink awareness, patient advocacy, and empowerment.
