My passion Iies with working with individuals struggling with substance use and trauma survivors, and I have a background working with a diverse client population addressing issues ranging from basic family & relational needs, LGBTQ+ affirming care, individuals in the criminal justice system, to processing complex trauma. I utilize an integrative approach of evidence based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Motivational Interviewing.I seek to meet clients where they are at and adapt my approach to best meet the needs and therapeutic goals of my clients in order to facilitate personal growth and healing.
I take a compassionate stance in helping to propel the harm reduction movement forward in place of shame based, abstinence only practices. I am an advocate for the destigmatization of addiction and mental health through promoting resources and support networks, in addition to empowering clients of marginalized identities.
I believe that every person has the potential to heal and grow and that therapy offers the opportunity for self insight and exploration.
