Most of us have difficulties being able to live the life we would like to live. Sometimes it can be hard to see what within us is getting in the way of achieving our goals. We do not exist in a vacuum, other people play a part in why we are who we are, and it takes people to help us create lasting change. My focus is to meet you where you are and help you grow right there, to clear away what is confusing and stifling, and to help you be wholly yourself. I also specialize in ADHD skills building and Career Counseling.
I use my experience, training and ongoing research to find the best way for us to work together. I often employ modalities that allow us to look at the reasoning behind actions that seem self defeating and illogical, meeting those without judging. Then looking for new ways to respond.
I gravitate towards a relational/family systems model, but use many other modalities, such as CBT, motivational interviewing, etc. I teach mindfulness, not just meditation, but how to use it in everyday life.
