My therapeutic approach to counseling is person-centered; I believe that each person should be understood, respected, and highly-valued from their own worldview. I believe past experiences have a profound effect in our present by informing thoughts and perceptions, and by shaping our decisions and opportunities. I will work with you to process your life experiences, both positive and painful, and encourage emotional and thought expression on a path toward healing, wholeness, and change. I will work with you to clarify the goals you want to work on in therapy.
I have experience with clients age 6 to 75 and a range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem and identity, eating disorders, grief, suicidality, self-harm, emotional dysregulation and externalized behaviors in children, childhood trauma, children experiencing parental divorce or custody issues, couples and family systems concerns.
