With the death of my infant son in 1982, I felt truly indoctrinated into the world of the dark-- and more equipped to help others with their pain and loss. A counselor for 40+ yrs, I help clients navigate into the dark, hidden parts of themselves--where much of their beauty, stories, secrets, "feared monsters", etc. lay buried & aching to be set free. Through a trusting counseling relationship, I help clients move from their head to their heart, remove masks & walls of defense no longer serving them, & open their heart to loving relationship with self and other.
I use practices that best meet the need of each client's counseling process. Along with talk therapy, I encourage clients to use other areas of expression as art, music, writing, dance, time in nature, movement,....
Working with individuals, couples, families, & groups, we break old patterns & cycles of abuse, heal wounds, and become empowered. I feel privileged to be a part of this personal expedition-- with its many rewards.
