I engage my clients with respect and compassion for the coping systems they’ve created to deal with their pain. I have worked extensively with couples and with individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression, as well as with eating disorders, substance abuse disorders and compulsive behaviors. My treatment approach is to help people gain insight into their behavioral patterns. I do this by reflecting on the ways they’ve grown accustomed to protecting themselves. I then assist my clients in understanding the consequences of their self protective behaviors.
