Hello! I’m Laura. Being human is so complicated, isn't it? Such an intensely personal and sometimes isolating experience, and often so very messy. And just when you think you've figured it out - the universe laughs. Every human needs a little help sometimes (even if we hate admitting it). As a therapist, I am privileged to sit with you in the eye of whatever storm you're navigating and helping you get through it stronger.
In general, I believe humans make meaning of themselves and their lives both internally and in relationship with others. We do this through the stories we tell about ourselves and the people in our lives, the roles they play with us. Some stories are more empowering than others.
In therapy, it is my honor to co-create, and bear witness to, new stories of hope and healing. I prefer using the strengths of ACT, CBT, RCT, and narrative therapies, as well as mindfulness techniques, but I am also flexible to suit clients' individual needs.
