Recovering from loss is painful. Loss of a loved one, a relationship, health...there are many different losses in life. I can help. With 20 years as a therapist, including 12 years of Hospice and a Grief Recovery certified Specialist, I have a deep appreciation of the challenges associated with life' losses. Starting with my years working with Adult Survivors of Sexual Abuse and facilitating groups of both Survivors and those suffering from Domestic Violence, I have since worked with families in crisis and individuals challenged with various debilitating issues.
I think psychotherapeutic work can be complex, frightening for some but eventually rewarding for all who endeavor. My job is to create an atmosphere where you feel safe while doing this work. I will help you develop the appropriate life skills to navigate life's many obstacles.
Because of my work with Hospice and Palliative care, I am comfortable visiting clients outside of my office. I am able to appropriately establish professional therapeutic boundaries in alternative situations, like working with clients in their home, while being mindful of keeping the client safe and protecting their confidentiality.
