I use a relational lens, and therefore each session looks different based upon the client’s needs and experience. I work with clients to create safer spaces that feel real and honor the many experiences an individual may be navigating. To me, the most important thing is to care and love one another. My work is rooted in care and love for humanity and the goal of betterment of our society as a whole, starting with the way we treat ourselves.
I focus on somatic healing, how one can regulate their body’s response to stress and trauma. I believe embodiment to be a crucial piece of healing work. Often we are stuck reanimating old wounds before we can properly understand, learning to regulate the nervous system creates access to deeper healing, understanding of self and one’s connection to intuition.
We will work together to build a meaningful, collaborative relationship that will empower you to move towards healing and growth. I individualize the sessions to what it is you need most and work closely with you to process painful feelings and experiences as they arise. Mending Mind & Body: A Virtual Trauma Group
This group will process and engage in psychoeducation around sexual trauma. The group utilizes somatic tools to identify the effect of trauma on the nervous system and find ways to regulate the body's trauma responses. The groups aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and accepting environment in which painful feelings and experiences can be shared and processed while utilizing tools around regulation and meaning-making. This is open to femme-identifying individuals who have experienced sexual violence.
