Taking the first steps for counseling can seem overwhelming. Sometimes life can be bombarded with anxiety, stressors, depression, or life transitions. It could be marriage difficulties or communication or infidelity traumas that need to be addressed. Or perhaps feeling disconnected from yourself and others due to PTSD. Perhaps it is a teenager wanting to stop self-harming and learn better ways to regulate feelings. Trauma and attachment issues can show up in many ways. Working through difficulties can bring hope empowerment connectedness and a sense of freedom in personal social spiritual areas of one's life.
Laura has been working as a LPC for over the past 15 years. She has been trained in EMDR processing which helps those struggling with PTSD or emotional distress to move through traumas. She works with women, teenagers, families, military, and couples to strengthen familial bonds and increase positive communication and heal from any relational traumas.
