Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, retirement communities, nursing homes, and youth centers. I specialize in issues including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, work-life balance, stress, relationship struggles, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, and personal growth. I tailor counseling to fit the needs of each client, and integrate wellness, solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), structured life review, narrative therapy, person-centered, and strength-based approaches.
My communication style is compassionate and caring, while incorporating straightforward feedback, guidance, and humor where appropriate. I will challenge you in a caring and empathetic manner to look within and seek alternative options and strategies for handling life’s challenges. I often assign homework such as journaling which many clients find effective.
