My name is Laura Curry, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about helping others, providing support, and helping to advocate. Your mental health matters! I have various experiences in the field. I have worked in a residential substance use program, Methadone clinic, crisis residential program, community-based therapy, school therapy, county services for severe mental illness, and psychiatric health facility. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults.
I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I teach my clients skills to build their own toolkit and help them navigate through their mental health in order to get to the place they are striving to be. It's the client's session.
I find it to be important to allow clients to have the space and time they need during their time with me. We have treatment goals and if/when other situations arise, we discuss those challenges too.
