Attending a session with a counselor for the first time can be daunting. Anxiety abounds with the fear or hope of improving one's emotional life. We will focus first on building the relationship together in a non-judging, empathetic and caring manner that eases that anxiety. Many of us know that we are in need of relationship building with those we interact with, in our family, workplace, social setting, romantic interests and within marriage. We will work together to repair and practice connecting and communication skills needed to facilitate safe rewarding relationship habits.
