Hi there. I’m Lani! I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor. I've worked in this capacity for the last 16 years and have been very happy doing so. I enjoyed my job every day and I'm deeply interested and passionate about helping people like yourself. I chose my career path after developing an early interest in psychology and helping others in my adolescent years. My desire is to help you manage your mental health, heal from life experiences, understand your emotions, and increase your ability to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
I provide a supportive, safe and non-judgmental space where you can express yourself. In my 16 years of work, the feedback I have received from people who have worked with me say that I am welcoming, educated, experienced, a good listener, well worth the time and money, amazing and the most helpful therapist they have ever had.
The first session is about getting baseline scored on anxiety, depression, stress, suicidality, and PTSD. I also administer an Adverse Childhood Experiences Questionnaire. The remainder of the intake session is about information gathering and treatment planning.
