I am a Licensed Psychologist in New York State offering virtual and in-person appointments. I provide psychotherapy to adults with concerns ranging from chronic depression to those with a desire for self-exploration. I also provide psychological assessment to adults and children for concerns including Learning Disability, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
My approach to therapy is to focus on the root causes of psychological distress by exploring history and patterns of relating to others and increasing the understanding and tolerance of thoughts that had previously been beyond one's conscious awareness. I also incorporate my knowledge of cognitive behavioral strategies related to reducing symptoms.
I consider myself to be open-minded, empathic, and, when possible, I incorporate humor into my work. Because of my broad and general training, I have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns. I also believe everyone could benefit from psychotherapy to increase their capacity for flourishing.
