I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that works with adults and adolescents seeking relief from anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, or repeating old patterns that you wish could break. I also work with those who have experienced sexual assault, abuse, interpersonal violence, or have experienced trauma or vicarious trauma in their work, such as first responders and veterans.
I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma, using a warm, non-judgmental approach to create a safe and supportive environment. I am an EMDR trained therapist, with a foundation in humanistic client-centered therapy. EMDR is a technique primarily used to effectively treat trauma, but it can be used to treat anxiety or depression as well.
Therapy will help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and reactions, aiding you in healing and growth, leading towards a life that feels more meaningful, grounded, and joyful. If you have experienced trauma, it is processed in a gentle, supportive way, going at a pace that you feel is appropriate. You never have to talk about anything you do not want to.
