Hello! I am LaJuana Walker-McGill, and I am a licensed professional counselor with 23 years of experience providing mental health therapy. I reside and practice in the state of Missouri. I provide client-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy to individuals dealing with issues related to depression, grief, anxiety, relationships, anger management, and adjustment issues. I met clients where they are by creating a safe in-person or virtual environment for them to express and explore their feelings.
I serve as a guide in assisting client to develop plan that best suits them and their situation by encouraging insight and healthy coping mechanisms and other strategies. My therapeutic approach is supportive, and client centered.
In the first session, client should expect to be informed of the practice policies, be given the time to get comfortable with the therapeutic environment and be involved in the information-gathering process.
